"Rising Tides" is an original multi-media art piece using sand from Juno beach to create a coastline and acrylic paint and resin to create the waters. The piece was originally made in 2022. A thin resin water layer has been added each year since 2022, making the resin water rise and slowly cover the lower topography areas, similar to how coastal communities are at risk from rising sea levels. In 2022 the sand bar area on the left side of the canvas was exposed, but is now all but covered by resin.
Painting is signed by artist on the back of the canvas.
